5 Delicious Lunch Spots in Ljubljana

Over the past 4 months in my new office in the center of Ljubljana, I set out to find the best lunch spots. Each week I tried at least one new place and I compiled a small list of my top five picks for lunch out in Ljubljana.

For the record, these are straight up my personal preferences. I like to eat a very light, fresh, usually vegetarian lunch. All of these options below have meals under 10€ so they are perfect for even the smallest of budgets.

Bife

salad from Bife in Ljubljana, Slovenia

Bife is a new place in Ljubljana that serves salad bowls. The menu also offers a rice or quinoa bowl, customized options, and soup. I always order one of the prepared dishes and I think they are top notch in terms of ingredients and flavors

Price Range: Salad bowls start at 6.50€, grain bowls at 7€, customized bowls 7.50€
Suggested Menu Item: Verde Pa Mir
Hours: 10:00-18:00 (Closed Saturday and Sundays)
Address: Rimska cesta 2

Tips: There is very limited inside seating, but you can sit near Bazilika (same owner) a few doors down. This is one of my favorite outside eating spots in Ljubljana.

*Menu available in English on their website.
*Veg and vegan options available.

Every time I go to Abi Falafel I want to try something different on the menu because it all looks super amazing but I always go with the special falafel wrap. It is a standard falafel wrap but with potatoes. It is the perfect balance of textures and flavors, and it is also really affordable for the amount of food you get. I have not once finished one of my wraps from here yet.

Price Range: Wraps and sandwiches range from 3.50€ to 5.50€ Other dishes range from 4€ – 9€
Suggested Menu Item: Falafel special sendvič

*Veg and vegan options available.

Tinks Superfood Cafe

Avocado Toast Tinks

Tinks Superfood Cafe is a great little place in the center of Ljubljana that offers trendy healthy meal options like avocado toast, acai and poke bowls, smoothies, soups and more. I found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful and a nice amount of seating inside which might not be the case for some of the other options listed here.

Price Range: Items range from 4.50€-8€
Suggested Menu Item: avocado toast and kombucha
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-19:00 / Sat 8:00-17:00 / Sun closed
