In 2018, Jaka and I got married in Slovenia. It was a really lovely celebration with a ceremony at Ljubljana Castle and a reception at my favorite farm/restaurant. Anyone in a relationship that crosses borders understands the stressful period after you marry. The endless bureaucracy, the uncertainty, and the time and resources until you are given that magical piece of paper that says you can stay in the country.
When applying for residency they often require your passport and restrict your movements to the country. This meant that our honeymoon was postponed. I never wrote about the trip because think some things should be kept for yourself, but I have a lot of photos I’d like to share. This is the first post in a new series of photo diaries.
